Biography

Diann Pay is a Principal Engineer with AKM Consulting Engineers. She graduated from University of California Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering followed by University of California Berkeley with a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Water Resources. 

She is the Director of Planning for AKM, specializing in potable water, recycled water, and sewer master planning projects that involve the development of hydraulic models, condition assessments, and capital improvement program recommendations. 

She also leads the planning team in conducting hydraulic analyses for pump selections of wells and booster pumps, pressure regulating station valve selections, preparation of model manuals and training agency staff in model development and use, and special studies.  She is a certified pipeline, manhole, and lateral assessor by the NASSCO Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program. She has also completed several Urban Water Management Plans, Water Loss Audits, Sewer System Management Plans and audits, Spill Emergency Response Plans, Sewer Rehabilitation Plans, and Inflow and Infiltration Studies.
